Taking place at The LINQ Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, the Cleaning Equipment Trade Association (CETA) 2017 Annual Convention will run from Sept. 10 to 14 and is co-located with ISSA/INTERCLEAN North America.
The CETA annual trade show brings together key leaders and decision-makers in the industrial and commercial cleaning industries, providing a forum for education, sharing and certification, as well as providing networking opportunities to strengthen existing business relationships or forge new ones.
On the docket are a variety of educational seminars. Beth Borrego, small-business owner, writer, website designer and marketing strategist, serves as CETA’s opening speaker. Her topic, “How to Manage Your Time: 10 tips that will work,” will help attendees get a better handle on time-management and gain greater efficiencies. Borrego also specializes in wood care and restoration, focused in particular on restoration and maintenance for log and cedar homes and decks. She will also be speaking a second time at the ISSA Education Theater about time management.
Another keynote speaker is Dr. Kerry Johnson (“America’s Sales Psychologist”) who brings his experience in the sports world as a professional tennis player, university research and business to inspire seminar audiences to improve their skills and performance and power up their motivation.
Other educational and networking opportunities include the Lunch with CETA Manufacturers, giving attendees a chance to meet them face-to-face and on a more personal level; and roundtable discussions, allowing members to connect with, exchange ideas and discuss issues of concern (some possible topics include employee health insurance, incentives for service people, measuring production, inventory management and more).
During the Annual Business Meeting, hosted by CETA’s board of directors and staff, the association will award its Lifetime Achievement and Community Service awards. The Opening Reception will immediately follow, providing a chance for fun and socializing. The Women of CETA 9th Annual meeting is an opportunity for women to meet, visit, enjoy fellowship and just have fun. This year’s event, “Dancing through the Decades,” will begin with a light lunch followed by dance moves taught by professional and competitive dancer Monica Johns.
CETA is also offering several certification programs during the event, such as the Distributor Certification Program, promoting adherence to the highest service and personal conduct standards. And the Manufacturer Certification Program offers the CETA Performance Certification Standard, focused on the necessity of uniform methods of measuring and rating machine performance.
