The client has an all-white Plexiglas looking type floor, possibly granite, that has scuff marks and scratches throughout the floor. What is the best way to clean this type of floor? Also, it may be covered with a clear polyurethane coating.

Answer
Before undertaking any floor restoration work, you must be certain what the flooring material is. Repairing a coating is far different from restoring a polished finish on granite.
Step one is to find out what this flooring is and contact the manufacturer for maintenance and restoration instructions. Do not attempt any work on a surface whose composition you are unsure of.
Cleaning it is simply a matter of removing the loose soils and mopping with a neutral detergent. Not much risk with that, but it will not remove surface damage such as scratches, obviously.
