Business Disaster Planning Workshop Exclusive
To Cleaning and Restoration Businesses Coming To Ft. Myers
Ft. Myers, FLA – Excel Cleaning and Restoration Supply, dedicated to the ongoing training and excellence in the Janitorial community, will host a disaster planning workshop exclusively for the cleaning and restoration industry on Wednesday, November 2, 2011 in Ft. Myers, Florida.
“This workshop is designed to give small business owners in the Janitorial and Restoration fields a road map for recovery should a disaster affect their business” said Z Hysell, program coordinator for Excel Cleaning and Restoration Supply and other like distributors. “Recent events such as earthquakes, hurricanes, tornados and power outages have shown us that interruptions to our businesses can have crippling effects if we are not prepared.’’
Former Public Affairs Officer for the federal governments’ emergency disaster response agency and now private consultant Amber Guy will teach the workshop. She is the author of Surviving A Business Disaster; How To Keep Your Cleaning Business In Business After A Disaster and a small business owner.
“I tell small business owners to think of a disaster plan like a free insurance policy” Guy said. “You need it but hope you never have to use it.” Mark Hopkins of Express Carpet Care attended the July disaster planning workshop hosted by Excel and Guy in Sarasota. “It was not what I expected. I thought only about hurricanes and forgot about fire, theft, flood and how I was going to save and recoup my computer files.”
