U.S. Chamber of Commerce Honors J.C. Restoration for Business Excellence

Via online voting, firm is in running for Small Business of the Year Award

J.C. Restoration, a Rolling Meadows, Ill.-based company, has received the Blue Ribbon Small Business Award from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The firm is now in the running to win the organization’s DREAM BIG Small Business of the Year Award.

The firm received word this week that it is one of 75 companies nationwide selected for the honor. Along with other winners, J.C. Restoration will be recognized at America’s Small Business Summit 2011 from May 23 to 25 in Washington, D.C.

Winners must demonstrate excellence in financial performance and business history, staff training, community involvement, customer service, and business planning.

“We are thrilled and humbled to have been picked for this award,” said J.C. Restoration President Warner Cruz. “Every day, we strive for excellence, whether it’s helping homeowners and business owners recover from damage to their properties, helping agents and adjusters perform their important roles, or helping business associates advance their career through specialized continuing education.”

The laurels come less than a year after Cruz was named the Second Runner-Up for the National Small Business Person of the Year. That award, conferred by the Small Business Administration, recognized the company for embodying the spirit of entrepreneurship, innovation and determination that make small businesses the economic engine of the United States.

The company has 70 employees working from a 102,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility at 3200 Squibb Ave.

As a Blue Ribbon Award winner, J.C. Restoration is now vying for the Community Excellence Award, designed to highlight a business that has found success in the eyes of its community. The top seven vote-getters in online polling—one from each of seven designated regions throughout the country—will advance to the final round for selection of the Community Excellence Award.

The online voting is available through Friday, March 11. The DREAM BIG Small Business of the Year Award finalists will be announced on Monday, March 14.
